Everyday That You Are Mine

Entrusted with the task of photographing Laura & Bran’s wedding and engagement at short notice was a delightful surprise. The call from the mother of the bride, mere months before the big day, set off a whirlwind of excitement and preparation.

Our journey together began at the picturesque Irish Bend Covered Bridge in Corvallis for their engagement session. Nestled in idyllic farmland, the setting perfectly complemented Laura's timeless beauty and Bran's impeccable style. Their genuine affection for each other was palpable from the moment we met.

Fast forward to their wedding day at the Hallmark Resort in Newport, a coastal gem that holds a special place in my heart. With my family in tow, we turned the occasion into a weekend getaway, celebrating not only Laura and Bran's union but also my son's birthday. He was almost as excited as the bride!

The morning of the wedding was a flurry of activity, from capturing the bridal party's preparations to witnessing Bran's nerves as he donned his attire, overlooking the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean.

Laura was a vision in her vintage tea gown, accentuated by a cape based on Natalie Wood's iconic veil from 1957. As she slipped into her ensemble, anticipation filled the air, building up to the moment when they would exchange private vows.

The ceremony itself was a timeless affair, blessed with the presence of loved ones and the gentle backdrop of a coastal breeze.

Laura's transformation into a Marilyn Monroe-inspired muse added a touch of old Hollywood glamour to the festivities, perfectly complemented by Bran's debonair charm.

The reception transported us back to the golden age of cinema, with vintage film posters adorning the walls and string lights casting a soft glow over the festivities. But it was the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean that truly stole the show. The event was catered by Georgie’s.

As the sun dipped towards the horizon, we stole away to the beach for a photo session that surpassed all expectations. The magic of that moment is indescribable, a testament to the love and beauty that surrounded us.

In hindsight, Laura and Bran's wedding was not just an event to be captured but a memory to be cherished. I am humbled and grateful to have been a part of their journey, capturing moments that will last a lifetime.

The following are a series of film I got throughout the day with my 35mm film camera. I sent the physical prints to Laura & Bran as a surprise after the digital gallery had all been delivered.
